Roof Repair · Oklahoma

Repair a leaking roof, before it gets worse.

A roof leak rarely fixes itself. All The Way Up Construction finds the source fast and repairs it right, so a minor issue doesn't turn into damaged ceilings, mold, or a full replacement.

A roof that's leaking isn't just a roofing problem. Left alone, water finds its way into the decking, the insulation, the framing, and eventually the interior of your home. What starts as a small stain on the ceiling can turn into rot, mold, and structural damage that costs far more to fix than the original leak. All The Way Up Construction handles roof leak repairs across Moore, Norman, Oklahoma City, and the wider service area. We find the source, we fix it properly, and most repairs are done in a single visit.

Why does a roof leak?

Roofs leak for a handful of reasons, and the source is almost never directly above the water stain you see inside. The most common culprits are failed flashing around chimneys, skylights, and vent pipes, cracked or missing shingles that expose the underlayment, dried-out sealant around penetrations, clogged gutters that force water backward under the eave, and valleys where two roof planes meet and water volume concentrates. Age plays a role too: as shingles get older, they lose flexibility and granule coverage, and they start to let water through in ways they wouldn't when new. Oklahoma's weather accelerates that process through UV exposure in summer, hail impacts, and freeze-thaw cycles in winter.

How to find a roof leak

Finding the actual source of a roof leak takes a systematic approach, not just a look at where the ceiling is wet. We start on the roof and work uphill from where the water is showing up inside, checking every penetration, flashing seam, and valley. Flashing is the first place we look because it fails more often than the shingles themselves. We'll also check the ridge and any low spots where water might pond after a hard rain. Inside the attic, we look for daylight, moisture staining on the rafters, and wet insulation that points back toward the entry point. Tracing a leak correctly the first time is what makes the repair last.

How to fix a leaking roof without replacing it

Most leaks don't require a full replacement, and we'll tell you honestly if repair is the right call. Replacing a section of flashing, swapping out a few damaged shingles, resealing around a pipe boot or skylight, or patching a small area of compromised decking are all repairs that can extend the life of an otherwise sound roof by years. The key is addressing the source correctly rather than applying sealant over a symptom. Sealant over a failed flashing might slow the leak for a season, but it won't fix the underlying problem. We repair the actual failure point so the fix holds.

How a roof repair project works with us

We start with a thorough look at your roof, both from the exterior and from inside the attic if needed. Once we locate the source of the leak, we walk you through what we found and what the repair involves before any work starts. Most repairs, missing shingles, failed flashing, cracked pipe boots, and small shingle sections, are handled in a single visit. We use materials that match your existing roof as closely as possible, and we test the repair before we leave. You get a written workmanship warranty on the repair, not just a handshake.

How much does it cost to fix a roof leak?

Repair costs vary based on what's causing the leak, where it is on the roof, and what materials are needed to fix it. A simple shingle replacement or pipe boot reseal is a straightforward job with minimal materials. Flashing replacement around a chimney or skylight is more involved because the surrounding shingles often need to come up as well. Repairs that reveal soft or rotted decking underneath add material and labor to the total. The only way to give you an accurate number is to see the roof, which is why we offer free estimates. What we can say with confidence is that repairing a leak now is almost always significantly less expensive than dealing with the water damage that comes from ignoring it.

How to stop a roof leaking in heavy rain right now

If you're dealing with an active leak during a storm, the first priority is protecting the interior. Move furniture and belongings away from the affected area, put down buckets, and use towels or plastic sheeting to protect floors. Don't go on the roof during a storm, wet roofing is extremely slippery and dangerous. If the leak is significant, a temporary tarp over the affected area can limit water entry until a proper repair can be made. Give us a call as soon as the weather allows. We work Monday through Saturday, 8AM to 6PM, and we'll get out to you as quickly as we can to assess the damage and get it fixed right.
